Television has a bigger role in Indian households. TV anchors enjoy good levels of popularity in Indian homes. Reality shows have provided the drama and enthralling storylines. Indian TV game shows presented the contests straight to families watching at home. Viewers found Indian Television channels as part of their lives.

A children quiz show like 'Bournvita Quiz Contest’ is been so spoken and written about, till date. People loved it so much that TRP for that show never dropped while shifting channels. People watched it to have fun while testing their knowledge. 'Antakshari’ was a gift for music fans, which led to classic Antakshari game culture among masses.

Fans would still miss host Neena Gupta in her rude avatar in 'Kamzor kadi Kaun’. It would take ages to forget dangerous truth game of 'Sach ka Samna’, with the polygraph machine to validate statements. Some best shows were inspired by shows of west, but we couldn’t care less but miss them.
